River Network initiated its “Healthy Waters, Healthy Communities” Program to empower grassroots organizations, particularly in disadvantaged communities, to effect meaningful environmental change by providing them with the technical and organizational assistance to understand, investigate and take action to address water-based environmental contamination that poses a threat to human health.
