Since it is hot and steamy in much of the country this weekend, it seemed like cool river shots would be an appropriate take on the Friday fun idea.
Think there's no water in Arizona? Cool yourself off with these great water pictures from Arizona and you'll change your mind. Imagine dunking your feet in any of these places and your temperature will drop by 10 degrees....I feel cooler and I've added at least three rivers to my "must visit" list: Fossil Creek, Havasu Creek and the Salt River.
I take a lot of guff from my family and friends back in Michigan for working on water issues in dry, old Utah, but these shots prove water in the desert is only more beautiful for its rarity. Enjoy your rivers, lakes, seashore and wetlands no matter where you are this Labor Day!
