Yesterday, Bevan and I were listening to the radio and we heard an excellent water conservation jingle produced by the Regional Water Providers Consortium. The next time you are out around the campfire with some friends and everyone is feeling a little bored with the same old sing-alongs, here's a new song you should be singing: Drip Drop Queen.
The Regional Water Providers Consortium, a group of local public water utilities spanning the entirety of the Willamette Valley, have put together some great water conservation ad campaigns. Here is one of their songs Drip Drop Queen, it's great. hear it, learn it, sing it, share it.
While perusing the Consortium's web page for the Drip Drop Queen song, I stumbled across a water conservation video ad put together for Earth Day titled 'Go Green,' which is extremely helpful and relevant, especially during these dry summer months.
Also, if you haven't yet heard the disturbing news, One out in three U.S. counties face water shortages due to climate change. This stuff is very real. Now is as good a time as any for all of us to become more conscious of our personal water and electricity consumption habits - so help spread the message through the power of Drip Drop'n music!
Now get out there, enjoy the summer, recreate in our amazing rivers and lakes, conserve as much water and energy as possible, and enjoy your endless hours of Drip Drop Queen sing-along fun time.
