As part of our efforts to help watershed groups understand the connections between water, energy and climate change, River Network has Partnered with the Groundwater Protection Council to help promote the upcoming Water/Energy Sustainability Symposium: Water and Energy Policy in the 21st Century, taking place September 13 – 16, 2009 in Salt Lake City, UT.
The symposium will bring together leaders from government, the energy and water industries, academia, water organizations and other stakeholders to chart a collaborative course toward sustainability for both resources. The U.S. Department of Energy is co-sponsoring the event and River Network is joined by a diverse group of organizations - including the American Water Works Association, Alliance for Water Efficiency, Water Research Foundation, Women's Council on Energy and the Environment, Groundwater Foundation, Environmental Defense Fund and many others - in Partnering with the GWPC for this important symposium.
For more information on the event, see our previous blog post or visit the Water/Energy Sustainability Symposium Homepage.
