The Groundwater Protection Council has provided links to over 100 presentations from the Water-Energy Sustainability Symposium they hosted this past September in Salt Lake City.
The Water-Energy Sustainability Symposium took place September 13 to 16, 2009 and featured a who’s who of scientists, researchers, utility, and government folks sharing their work on water-energy issues. I had the pleasure of attending the event and provided couple blog posts briefly summarizing my highlights of day one, and days two and three.
I have been eagerly anticipating the public release of these presentations since the conference concluded two month ago. The amount of great information shared at the event was far more than I was able to retain given my meager note taking skills, so I’m happy that all this info is now available to the public.
To download copies of the presentations, visit the Groundwater Protection Council’s Proceedings page. Under the “Annual Forums” heading, click on 2009 to open a Word document (.doc) of the agenda that contains a list of presenters. Each presenter’s name is a hyperlink to their presentation so just click on the name of a presenter to open their respective presentation.
You can also access the conference proceedings by going to the Groundwater Protection Council’s homepage and clicking meeting, meeting proceedings, annual forums then 2009. Or you can just click here (PDF).
Be sure to check out the presentations in the Green Building and Green Cities session. This was the most exciting session for me and many of the presentations outlines some real innovative, cost-effective ways to simultaneously reduce our energy demands and impacts on freshwater systems.
