Virtual training: Water Quality Standards

The Clean Water Act online course's Lesson 1: Water Quality Standards provides an extensive introduction to standards. However, we know that everyone learns differently.

To help those of you who would prefer a more "human" touch, we offer the following recorded webinars with associated PowerPoint slides to help you learn more about standards.

  • Watch and listen to the Water Quality Standards 101 webinar. This webinar was recorded on September 29, 2009. It was for a group of River Network Partners in the Intermountain West so the examples will all be western. However, the general information about designated uses, water quality criteria and antidegradation will be useful for river advocates around the country.

  • Watch and listen to the Antidegradation 101/201 webinar. This webinar was recorded on October 27, 2009. Like the Water Quality Standards 101 webinar, it was for a group of River Network Partners in the Intermountain West so the examples will all be western. However, the general information will be useful for river advocates around the country.
