River Network is a national river organization that provides organizational and technical assistance to watershed groups, tribes and other communities. We are further developing our capacity to help communities confronting river-based human health concerns. To this end, we conducting a nation-wide needs assessment.

There are several goals of the survey:

  1. To document the extent of the problem
  2. To network communities and professionals so that they can assist each another
  3. To identify specific needs in order to develop tools that can help communities

We would appreciate your help completing one of the following surveys for each community that you are aware of (including your own) that is confronting a water based environmental health concern. Thank you!

River Network is developing trainings and materials to help communities investigate links between contamination and health problems. We will be working with a couple of communities to assist them in conducting environmental health assessments in conjunction with developing this tool.
