Secchi Disc Sampler

On a weekly basis (preferred) sample a station on either Grand Lake or Shadow Mountain Reservoir using a Secchi Disc. The purpose is to help us create a grid of transparency measurements on the lakes to evaluate lake clarity. This important as these lakes are part of the headwaters of the Colorado River.

To do this you need to attend a training session where you will be trained on the method, both classroom and field, and check out the equipment. You will need good eyesight, and access to a boat. Our next training session is June 24, 2009.
