The Nanticoke Watershed Alliance is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator through AmeriCorps "Volunteer Maryland" Program. This an 11-month position with a potential start date in August, the official service year beginning no later than September 16, 2009 and concluding on August 3, 2010.

We are seeking an outgoing and enthusiastic candidate to help to administer and further develop our volunteer programs, including our Nanticoke Creekwatchers Citizen Monitoring Program, shoreline cleanups/restoration, oyster restoration, and educational and outreach activities.

This an exciting opportunity to recieve professional training in volunteer management through Volunteer Maryland, then apply it "on the ground" in a small but fast-growing regional environmental organization! Our offices are located in Vienna, MD, between the larger towns of Cambridge and Salisbury on the Eastern Shore.
