National Needs Assessment of Restoration Practitioners

The National Estuarine Research Reserves and the NOAA Restoration Center are assessing training needs for habitat restoration practitioners who work in coastal areas around the nation. While the emphasis is on training related to estuaries and coastal watersheds, we are also interested in quantifying the needs of practitioners whose work intersects with upland and interior restoration projects, particularly habitats such as rivers or shorelines that may be associated with estuarine or other coastal habitats.

The results of this assessment will provide a baseline for developing comprehensive training for restoration practitioners throughout the nation’s coastal zone.
If you are involved in habitat restoration, please complete the survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ecologicalrestorationNA) by August 10, 2011.
