Dutch Oven Cook-Off
Wanted--experienced or no--Dutch Oven Chefs and Judges. River Network is delighted to host the 2nd Quasi-Annual National River Rally Dutch Oven Cook-off. Inspired by a view of the Columbia River, teams from across the country will participate in a friendly competition, creating culinary masterpieces in cast-iron kettles. It's like magic-only better. Advanced registration preferred.
Environmental Film Festival
Again this year, the South Yuba River Citizens League will treat us to a selection of the year's best environmental films at the Environmental Film Festival. Don't miss this outstanding River Rally event!

Funders' Forum and Office Hours
Back by popular acclaim, a panel of foundation, government, and corporate funders will provide tips on bringing home the grants and building relationships with grantgivers. There will be time for questions and small group discussions as well.

Sunday Afternoon

Field Trips
Sunday afternoon provides an opportunity to explore the beautiful northwest by water or by foot. Chose one of our fully inclusive field trips or grab a map and explore the area on your own. Field trips are optional; advanced registration and payment are requested.

"Rivers of America" Slide Show
Award-winning author and photographer Tim Palmer will present a slide show of stunning photos from his new book, Rivers of America. This art-book of 200 color photos taken nationwide has won rave reviews, as has Tim's slide show. He will talk about the ways rivers have shaped his life and about their importance to all of us. Tim has been at the center of river conservation in America for 30 years as an activist, writer, planner and photographer. Don't miss this presentation and book, which Tim calls his "best work ever."

Monday Evening

River Heroes Banquet and Awards Ceremony
We work hard all year and now it is time to party! As a River Rally participant, you are on the guest list for a rousing and celebratory evening at the River Heroes Banquet as we gather together to honor our accomplishments and the River Heroes who made them possible. Additionally, the James R. Compton River Achievement Award will be presented to one individual whose life-long passion and dedication to river conservation is an inspiration to us all. Recommended dress is "river formal"--anything from sarongs and sandals to gowns and ties is welcome. River Hero Nominations are due on February 9, 2007.
