The Indigenous Waters Network Tribal Day is actually a day and a half this year!
Native people working to protect the traditional and cultural values of water, and others working on indigenous water issues throughout the country, are invited to meet Thursday evening, May 17 for a longhouse dinner and introduction session. On Friday, May 18 we will spend the day at Skamania Lodge learning from each other and discussing issues of common concern before joining the main National River Rally. The agenda is under construction, but is expected to include the following:
There will be a charge of $175 per Tribal Day participant to cover double-occupancy lodgings and meals, $275 for single-occupancy lodgings and meals, and $60 for Friday morning arrival (although we would rather meet you Thursday night!). Scholarships are available according to need -- application for scholarship should be made along with your River Rally registration.
