Case Studies for the Watershed Support Network: How did capacity building affect individual watershed groups?

The numbers in our report tell only a part of the story – each river or watershed organization uses capacity-building differently. In this section we look at a mix of ten organizations, some quasi-governmental and some fiercely independent, some advocacy-based and some focused on restoration, to examine the ways that capacity-building interventions have changed them. In most cases we focus mainly on organizations which have been successful, but we also look at ones which have struggled for the lessons they provide.
