Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at Wastewater Treatment Facilities

Treating wastewater and ensuring that only clean water enters our rivers requires a lot of energy. Luckily, there are a number of strategies available to increase energy efficiency measures at wastewater treatment plants and to encourage installation of renewable power sources. This presentation from Janet Gillaspie of the Oregon Association of Clean Water Agencies will describe ACWA’s efforts to help clean water agencies reduce their energy demands and increase renewable power use while keeping pollution out of our waterways.
