Federal Funding for Restoration & Conservation

Several of America's Great Waters, such as the Great Lakes, Mississippi River, Chesapeake Bay, and others, have had considerable success this year in obtaining federal funding through the 2010 Interior Appropriations Bill for restoration and conservation. To build on that momentum and to ensure that we have the political will (and votes in Congress) to increase appropriations levels in future years, advocacy groups from every region of the country are working together as the America's Great Waters Coalition. This workshop will bring participants up to date, and will engage them in ways that they and their organizations can be a part and benefit from the efforts of the coalition.
