This report is the result of a partnership between the Pacific Institute and Western Resource Advocates, and is an assessment/critique of the water conservation strategies adopted by Las Vegas. The report finds that although Las Vegas has had some success in reducing water consumption, water managers in the region should broaden their approach and implement a wider array of water conservation and efficiency strategies. A number of case studies are provided and the strategies promoted in the report can help guide water resource planning and management, as well as conservation programs, in a variety of different regions.
