A 2008 report by the Association of Fundraising Professionals in their Reports on Fundraising and Philanthropy series seeks to further understanding of the motives individuals have for offering bequests to nonprofit organizations. The authors offer recommendations on how fundraisers can develop appeals and identify donors. A literature review on bequests begins the report.
