In the newly published River Voices: Environmental Justice and Diversity, Lisa Bardwell, Executive Director of Earth Force describes the steps her organization has taken to be more inclusive and diverse in their work. Bardwell explains what they have learned so far: Make the work a priority, stay the course, create safe ways to have the conversation, be courageous, be proactive, it's not about "looking" more diverse and that inclusivity work is not the responsibility of the people of color in your organization.
