River Network introduces two versions of a new water quality monitoring guidebook. This guidebook is an introductory overview for communities facing public health concerns related to environmental contamination. One version provides a shorter, simpler introduction to the topic for those who are new to this subject.

The guidebooks have been produced as part of a project called Statistics for Action that River Network is collaborating on with Terc, a not-for-profit education research and development organization dedicated to improving understanding of mathematics, science, and technology. Through Statistics for Action we are developing tools to help community members understand complex environmental health data when grappling with public health concerns related to pollution.
