This is the most updated version of River Network's presentation on Water, Energy and Climate Change. It was presented by Don Elder at River Rally 2008 in Ohio. The presentation is divided into three parts to allow for smaller file sizes and easier downloads.
The first section of the slideshow covers the basic science behind climate change, as well as the anticipated effects of climate change on our watersheds. Section two goes over the environmental impacts of our energy production and introduces the "wedge" strategy as a practical paradigm for addressing climate change. The final section of the slideshow describes the vast amounts of energy embedded in our water systems and the enormous potential we have to mitigate and adapt to a changing climate through saving energy by saving water.
