About this Course

We are providing you several options to learn the basic tools of the Clean Water Act.

Problems and Solutions

We all seek information and tools to solve the problems that concern us most. We have indexed the course based on common problems and directed you to helpful tools to deal with those problems.

We will be expanding this section continually, but it has been established with the information developed for Chapter 7 in River Network's "The Clean Water Act: An Owner's Manual."

Take the Course

This area gives you the option to either walk through the information as we teach it in our workshops or to jump around among different interesting topics. The overview is the area through which you will be guided to each new topic. The overview gives a brief synopsis of the topic and, in most cases, offers a power point presentation to go along with it. If you want more information on each topic area, there is a "Go to [topic] Module" hot button that will take you to a new page with more detail.

On the detailed pages for each topic, there are several helpful features: Clean Water Act quotes to use in comments or testimony, local stories, technical explanations under Digging Deeper, suggestions for action, and teaching tools in case you wish to pass this information on to others.

TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE

We wanted to offer you the opportunity to test your knowledge before, during and after you take the course. To do so, we created two tests: a multiple choice/fill-in-the blank test (Test Questions) and a true or false test (True or False). Both are arranged by topic area. In addition, questions are sprinkled throughout the course, identified by either a question mark icon or a True or False icon.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

Dive in and let us know what you think! We are constantly updating and improving elements of the course so we welcome your input.
