Congratulations! You've taken the first step towards attending River Rally 2008.
River Rally Registration is perhaps the single-most important task you can do to ensure your spot at the event. It falls just above "arrange your own travel" on things you need to do to make your hopes of attending River Rally a reality. If you are interested in attending River Rally, you must register for the event.
River Network accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, checks, cashier checks and purchase orders. Full registration fees must be paid prior to attending the event.
You can easily register for River Rally online. In fact, it's the most popular method among past River Rally participants. It's also number one for River Network staff, as it prevents us from having to retype your information and it holds you liable for any misspelling to your name. If you prefer to register via mail or fax, simply print out the registration form, or contact our Registration Coordinator to have one mailed/faxed to you.

What? The River Rally costs money? You mean I have to pay to attend an event that will teach me things beyond my wildest dreams (note: results may vary depending upon your dreams); feed me delicious conference food and provide me with a room? Not to mention the unsurpassed networking opportunities, spontaneous music jams, and the River Heroes Banquet?
Alas, it's true: the River Rally does cost money to attend, but rest assured it is worth every penny. And, we are happy to offer you a variety of registration packages to meet your individual needs - because that's the kind of organization we are.

Scholarships
River Network works hard to make the River Rally accessible to all who wish to come. But we can't do it alone - we need your help. While scholarships are available to those meeting the criteria, we do ask that each participant contributes at least $100 towards registration (read: as a general rule, no full scholarships are awarded). When reviewing requests, we look kindly upon those who make an effort to cover most of their costs. Scholarships are meant to supplement - not subsidize - your attendance. Most awards average $250 and travel scholarships are extremely limited.
Scholarship applicants should:
If you are requesting scholarship assistance, you must complete a registration form and submit it along with a $100 deposit by March 13th. Scholarship applicants will be notified of our decisions by March 31st. If you are not awarded a scholarship, or determine that the amount awarded is not sufficient, you will receive a full refund provided you alert us of your decision by April 15th. Cancellations after April 15th will result in a $50 administrative fee.
A Few Pointers: It is not advisable to demand a single, deluxe room with a hot-tub, open bar and Sven, the masseuse, and then ask for a scholarship. Nor is it advisable to request more than the total of your registration costs. Equally frowned upon is accepting an award and then not showing up. Keep it real, keep it honest and most importantly, keep smiling.
Approved Presenters
All approved presenters have been notified by River Network. If you were selected as a presenter, please click the "approved presenter" check-box on the River Rally registration form and then indicate (further down) if you are or are not requesting the $300 registration discount. Please note that only ONE individual per workshop is eligible for the discount. Co-presenters should not register as a "presenter" - rather, they should select the "attendee" option, and then if needed, request scholarship assistance via our general scholarship fund. Presenters selected for more than one workshop should register as an "approved presenter" and then, when prompted, click that you are "paying by check." Upon submitting your form, please call Katherine Luscher; 503.542.8384 so that we can award the additional scholarship(s) to your registration.
