For thousands of employees nationwide, the advent of fall means the changing of leaves, cooler temperatures - and the arrival of charitable fundraising campaigns in the workplace. Beginning in September, non-profit organizations receive payroll deduction donations through these workplace giving campaigns. Donations are used for everything from restoring and preserving rivers, wildlands and ancient forests, to protecting wetlands and deserts, ensuring clean drinking water, and much, much more.
River Network participates in the federal employees' Combined Federal Campaign and is a proud member of two workplace giving campaigns: the Conservation and Preservation Charities of America and Earth Share of Oregon.
Conservation and Preservation Charities of America (CPCA) is a group of America's finest national organizations working to protect and restore the Earth's natural environment and historic treasures. There are a number of ways to give to River Network through the CPCA workplace giving campaign.
Earth Share of Oregon is a group of 32 non-profit conservation organizations. If you live in Oregon, you and your fellow employees can have contributions sent automatically to River Network. Contributions are simply deducted from your paycheck and spread over the course of a year. As with the CPCA, all gifts through the Earth Share campaign are fully tax-deductible.
Does your employer have a matching gifts program? Double (or even triple!) your gift to River Network by having your employer match your contribution. Thousands of companies in the U.S. match their employees' gifts. Ask your personnel or human resource department if your employer has a matching gift program, fill out their form and send it to River Network with your gift.
