Recycling Can! Volunteer Event Details: Wheat Ridge, CO

You’re Invited!

Join the Ball Corporation, River Network, City of Wheat Ridge, Institute for Environmental Solutions, and other community partners for a morning of litter cleanup, recycling, and tree work along Clear Creek and the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt.

Enjoy a FREE LUNCH at noon and be entered to win FREE Rec Center day passes! Stick around to learn more about on-going local environmental projects and meet the organizations who lead them.

Date: Saturday October 12, 2019

Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM with FREE lunch served at Noon

Location: Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, 4005 Kipling St., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033

Activity: Two activities are available:
1) Collecting litter and sorting recyclables along Clear Creek
2) Watering, mulching, and weeding newly planted trees along the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt

What to bring: Closed toed shoes, clothes that can get dirty, a water bottle, sun protection, work gloves (gloves will be available if you need them)

Age restriction: This event is open children age eight or older. Minors must be supervised at all times.

Notes: No pets please. When you arrive, look for the tent in the North East corner of the Rec. Center parking lot.
