Exploring River Network’s State Policy Hub
While new opportunities to protect clean water continue to emerge at the federal level, we also know that state governments are essential to the fight to protect and preserve access to clean water for many communities. River Network’s recently launched State Policy Hub is an online database that supports our members in advocating for clean, safe and affordable water by providing a central location to find state policy language and examples of effective advocacy efforts at the state level.
The State Policy Hub currently highlights policies, resolutions, and plans related to drinking water focus areas: Access, Affordability, Lead, PFAS, Regionalization & Consolidation, and Water Data Access & Availability. Drinking water is just the beginning! We plan to continue expanding the scope of the state policy hub to include other topics such as climate adaptation, flooding, and agriculture.
Join the River Network team in a walk through and feedback session and to learn more about the development of this resource, key components and how to best utilize the Hub for action in your state.
Which states have passed laws regulating the pervasive PFAS that contaminate our drinking water? How are states advancing the removal of lead service lines and reducing the risks of lead exposure from the water coming out of our taps?
With support from the Water Foundation, we address these questions and more with the launch of our NEW State Policy Hub! Use it to search for state policy language across every drinking water-related state policy in the United States, supporting advocacy efforts in your state.
