Volunteer Monitoring during COVID-19

Event Info
In follow up to two recent web meetings related to citizen-based aquatic field sampling and citizen science programming during COVID, Jill Carr and I will moderate another virtual meeting for program leaders. This webinar will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 3-4 PM ET.
This panel discussion will include four veteran volunteer monitoring program directors who have held and/or who are planning additional volunteer trainings during COVID. They will each describe their trainings, and will share advice they have from challenges and successes they faced. These lightning round-style presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.
Speakers will be:
- Mona Dominguez, Program Director, Alabama Water Watch, Auburn University
- Julie Vastine, Director, Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM), Dickinson College
- Barb Horn, Water Resource Specialist, River Watch of Colorado, Colorado Parks and Wildlife
- Jason Frenzel, Volunteer and Stewardship Coordinator, Huron River Watershed Council
We will record the webinar and post it to http://volunteermonitoring.org/covid following the webinar.
Please register in advance for this meeting.
