In Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Our Team’s Diversity in 2020

Since 2018, River Network annually reports our internal progress on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) to our Board of Directors. We are making this information* public in 2020, including information on staff training, our team’s racial diversity (how many of us are Black, Indigenous, or people of color (BIPOC)), and other related metrics. We currently center our EDI work on racial equity but welcome and celebrate diversity in all its forms, including class and income, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, learning style, and more. We anticipate that this focus will continue to evolve, led by our internal staff EDI committee, which is exploring ways we can expand our focus.

We also humbly acknowledge that we have work to do in many of these areas and recognize that metrics and quantitative indicators do not fully capture this story. For more on the ways in which EDI informs our work, check out our blogour case statement for EDI, and our history.
