Donyel Johnson

Donyel Johnson joins River Network as the Director of Philanthropy. She is a visionary leader in philanthropy that is dedicated to affecting positive change and that there is equity in the resources available to all. She will steward existing supporters and develop new strategies to expand and diversify River Network’s donor base significantly. Before joining River Network, Donyel worked at Rocketship Education, where she generated revenue and led engagement strategies for youth to reach their full potential. Donyel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master’s in Public Administration with a Non-Profit Management Concentration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son, reading, traveling, yoga, and trying new foods.
