    Paul Sloan

    Paul is the current Board Chair of the Cumberland River Compact and formerly served as its Executive Director. Prior to joining the Compact, Paul served as Deputy Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) where he directed the Tennessee’s Bureau of Environment.

    Previously, Paul was a founding partner of the law firm Harwell Bar Martin & Sloan (now H3GM); co-founder of Little Planet Learning; founder of Partners-in-Conservation; a founding board member for Cumberland Region Tomorrow and the Cumberland River Compact. He is also a former board member of The Nature Conservancy of Tennessee.

    Paul attended Williams College and Vanderbilt Law School. Among Paul’s favorite areas in the Cumberland watershed are the Big South Fork and Cumberland Falls.
