Andrea Lubberts, Program Manager at Plaster Creek Stewards (Grand Rapids, Michigan). Andrea is a community builder whose infectious optimism draws people into the healing work of watershed restoration along Plaster Creek. What began as her volunteer participation representing her church has grown into more than a decade of dedicated leadership. Through various programs, Andrea has installed rain gardens, led the organization’s oral history project, and became a driving force behind PCS’s high school Green Team, which pays students to engage in hands-on watershed ecology and environmental justice work. As President of Michigan’s Native Plant Guild and developer of an upcoming Green Team for Grown-Ups, Andrea continues to expand her reach.
