Business & Water
A future of healthier rivers and clean water depends on us all. We believe businesses play a vital role in that future. Our business partners and sponsors support community-based solutions for cleaner water and healthier rivers. We make it easy for businesses to have an impact—and share that impact with the world!
Since 2000, we’ve helped businesses put on hundreds of water-focused events in key markets and communities. These events have drawn tens of thousands of volunteers. We’ve removed nearly a million pounds of trash from rivers, planted trees in riparian areas, built rain gardens, assembled and distributed thousands of rain barrels from recycled materials, and provided practical water education workshops. Explore Project Rain Barrel community events.
River Rally is the premier national annual event for people working for cleaner and healthier rivers across the U.S. This vibrant and inclusive conference brings innovators, thought leaders, and staff from our network together to discuss urgent water issues and gain practical knowledge. Businesses show leadership and commitment to water through sponsoring the event, exhibiting products or services, and/or providing essential scholarship funding. River Network and Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) have teamed up to offer the Business for Water Stewardship Project Bank to help meet growing corporate interest in funding local watershed restoration and expand funding opportunities for local non-profits doing this kind of work. The Project Bank is a new online clearinghouse where businesses can find, connect to, and fund local watershed restoration and protection projects. View the Project Bank.

Our partnership with the Coca-Cola Company has established and strengthened water conservation projects in communities across the country, retrofitting Coca-Cola syrup drums into rain barrel catchment systems and providing funding to install low-flow shower heads in low-income households in drought-stricken California.
Each year, Patagonia helps dozens of grassroots river and water champions attend River Rally by supporting the River Rally scholarship fund.
As part of their Tires4ward Program, Bridgestone Retail Operations supports river clean-ups across the nation, connecting Bridgestone-Firestone retail stores with watershed groups to send spent tires to a beneficial next use (at no cost to cleanup teams) while increasing awareness about the life cycles of our consumer goods.
Pradco Outdoor Brands has been a generous sponsor of River Rally programming and scholarships.
