The Great Lakes Made for a Great River Rally!

Our thanks to everyone who supported and attended the National River Rally! It was - without question - the best River Rally of 2008. Together we learned, laughed, cried and inspired one another. We showed our competitive side at the HOympics, our intellectual side in the workshops, and our passionate side at the Heroes' Banquet. I'm not sure what side was shown at the Hospitality Suite, but we showed that, too. In the coming weeks, right here on this webpage, we'll post information about workshop materials, River Rally photos and River Rally 2009. In the meanwhile, please do take the time to fill out our evaluation form and share your River Rally experience with us. If you don't tell us what we could do better, we're just going to assume we can't.

Once upon a time, there was a national event that brought together river conservationists. This event required a smidgen of both organizing and funding. So, in addition to the evaluation form, we would love to hear your River Rally story. No - not THAT story....but rather, the story about how River Rally helps you do your job better. We need these stories to show existing, future funders and participants that supporting River Rally is an investment worth making -- that our rivers are better because you attended this event. So please, if you really want to help and if you feel so inspired, take a few moments let us know why River Network's River Rally is an important part of your conservation efforts. Propose a Workshop for 2009

Did you leave a workshop thinking: wow, public speaking! I LOVE public speaking. I should present next year. Do you have an idea for a workshop that would be better than a warm chocolate chip cookie on a cold winter's day? If so, you now can propose a workshop for River Rally 2009. Proposals are due until October 24, 2008; read more at the 2009 Workshop Proposal site. River Rally 2009 will take place in Baltimore, MD, May 29-June 1.
